The Woods' Visit...

The Woods' came back to the states for a visit this summer. The kids were all so happy to see each other again.

During the first week that the Woods' were here, in between doctor visits and MDO, the kids were able to play together everyday.

("Little Miss Sunshine" & "Little Miss Chatterbox" at the doctor's office)

In the afternoons the girls attended WOW! Science Camp.

One day Lisa was the speaker at science camp, and she used my puppets. It was weird seeing my puppets "speak" with Lisa's voice. :-)

Thursday night we went to Incredible Pizza Company for dinner.

On Friday, we went to the mall tree play area, had lunch in the food court, and rode the carousel.

The second week the Woods' spent in Dallas visiting family. They returned to The Woodlands the day before their return to England. On their last day here, we took the kids back to the mall one last time.

Before we took them to the airport, we went by the church one last time to say good-bye.

Hopefully the kids won't have to wait too long before they see each other again...

Taekwando Surprise

Well, after a couple of months of watching from the sidelines, Allen decided to sign up to take Taekwando with Rebecca. He surprised her in class on July 7. He was standing next to her for a good couple of minutes before she realized it was him. The look on her face when she did the double take was priceless. Now they attend class together. I am really proud of Allen. It's not easy being one of the tallest students in the class. :-) He's not the only dad taking with their child, though. There were at least three dads in a recent class. Who knows, maybe some day they will convince me to sign up, too. Now that will be funny...

Kathryn's party at My Gym

We had Kathryn's birthday party on July 5, at My Gym here in the Woodlands. Because of the holiday weekend we had a small group, but they had a lot of fun.

We had a ladybug theme for our "Katie Bug".

I was going to make a ladybug cake for the party, but we were so busy that weekend that I didn't get it done in time for the party. So I made it a couple of days later. It turned out really cute.

Independence Day...

Last weekend was a busy one. It started with the Woods' arriving from England for a visit on July 1. On Saturday, July 4, we (the McNights) walked in the annual parade here in The Woodlands. Rebecca wanted to walk with her ATA school. It was SOOOO hot! But, we had fun.

After the parade, we all went home and crashed. Later that afternoon we went over to Scott & Lelani Bayer's house for dinner, and the kids got to swim in the pool.

That night we headed over to the mall for the annual fireworks display. Lelani Bayer served her traditional "Flag Cake", and the kids enjoyed the fireworks.

After the show, we sat around visiting until the crowds cleared out. The kids were so exhausted from their long day that they ended up falling asleep.

11 years ago, on July 4, 1998,we met the Woods' while watching the fireworks. It has become a tradition for us to get together for the fireworks every year. We were so glad that they were able to come back and celebrate with us this year.
